Description

We are often asked if we have products to repair an asbestos roof from the inside. The best and longest lasting repairs are always done from the outside, but we do have a suggestion that may help in the short term.

What You Need to Know:

Colour: Clear
Application: Place tube in an applicator gun and squeeze the polymer as far as possible into the crack, gap or small hole from as small as 6mm to a maximum 20mm
Cleaning Up: You need a strong cleaning product like Xylene for cleaning tools, etc afterwards.

How Do I apply It?

The roof should be reasonably dry i.e. not dripping wet and you should try to get the polymer as far as possible into the crack. As long as the Polymer has something to adhere to, it should give a waterproof repair for many months even years to come.

Squeeze the Polymer as far as possible into the Crack, Gap or small hole from as small as 6mm to a maximum 20mm with an applicator Gun, bigger holes or cracks should be packed with suitable backing. This should give you an effective temporary repair without the need to climb up onto your roof.

It is always best to do any repairs from the outside after preparing and cleaning your roof thoroughly. However, as we often get asked by customers if we can suggest something they can use from the inside, we wanted to offer this as a possible solution. We cannot guarantee the product will work in any given situation, but we believe that it offers the best solution in these circumstances. We would strongly advise NOT using a silicone sealant to repair your roof, as it often fails within a few weeks.

Why Choose Asbestos Repair From Inside Kit?

Our MS Polymer is a clear adhesive and sealant. What is more you can apply it to a slightly damp surface. Squeeze the Polymer as far as possible into the crack, gap or small hole. Use a bead from as small as 6mm to a maximum 20mm with an applicator Gun. Bigger holes or cracks should be packed with suitable backing. This should give you an effective temporary repair without the need to climb up onto your asbestos roof.

We know it’s always best to do any repairs from the outside. At the same time we also know sometimes that’s not possible. So for customers asking for an asbestos repair product that’s usable from the inside we provided a temporary solution kit. We cannot guarantee the product will work in any given situation, but we do believe it offers the best temporary solution in these circumstances. We would strongly advise NOT using a silicone sealant to repair your roof, as it often fails within a few weeks.
